About Us
Known as Robotronic Oy in Finland, the company introduced the first PC-based shape-cutting control in 1986. Developed on a common PC-based operating platform, it was also the first controller to incorporate user-friendly PC-based hardware features, including a floppy drive port and a sophisticated graphic screen and interface. Then, with over ten years of experience in PC-based systems, as well as being the first shape cutting control manufacturer to incorporate the Microsoft¨ Windows¨ NT operating system, Robotronic OY introduced the intelligent iCNC in 1997. Incorporating Windows UI, the iCNC also introduced the concept of dual microprocessors, providing true multitasking, which set it apart from other shape-cutting controls to this day. With one microprocessor dedicated to the Windows XP Operating System and the other processor dedicated to motion, operators can create new nests at the same time the machine cuts an existing part program nest. Known as ProMotion Controls, Inc since 2002 in the United States, we specialize in advanced intelligence CNC shape-cutting controls and associated products for shape-cutting machines using oxy-fuel, plasma, water-jet, and for routers. ¥ Introduced first PC-based shape-cutting control in 1986. ¥ First shape cutting control manufacturer to incorporate Microsoft¨ Windows¨ NT operating system. ¥ Introduced intelligent iCNC in 1997, which also introduced concept of dual microprocessorsÐÐproviding true multitaskingÐÐsetting it apart from other shape-cutting controls to this day.
