Products Overview
ProMotion Controls specializes in intelligent PC-Based CNC Shape Cutting Control and plasma cutting control solutions. We also develop and offer associated shape cutting solutions, including Off-Line Nesting Software, Marking Equipement, Drive Systems, and Torch Lifter Systems for both new shape-cutting machines and to retrofit older machines.

Built-In Shape Cutting Productivity
Each shape cutting control solution is designed to provide unsurpassed shape cutting and plasma cutting productivity while dramatically increasing daily production and reducing operational costs. Please refer to our Advantages Section, which applies to almost every control in our ProMotion CNC-Control product family.

ProMotion® iCNC®
The ProMotion iCNC is our flag-ship shape cutting control and plasma cutting control, offering you a turn-key solution, with all the shape cutting capability and options you could possibly need in a single box. Just plug in our plug-and-play cables to the back-wall connectors in the unit and you are ready to go.

OEM Options
The ProMotion® iQ offers the same capability as our iCNC but without the 15” touch-screen display and front panel switches. We recommend the iQ for customers who prefer creating their own display solutions or for customers who prefer creating their own operator panel with switching. On-Screen Software Switches are also available to reduce hardware costs and streamline design.

The ProMotion® Open Frame is the engine driving the iCNC and iQ. Offered on a single mounting plate, the Open Frame is well suited for OEMs who want to benefit from the ultimate in core technology, but want to design the surrounding technology and control look-and-feel themselves.

Interface Options
The ProMotion® HVAC is a software User Interface available to iCNC, iQ and Open Frame units. This user interface is specifically fine-tuned for the special parts production requirements of the HVAC industry, where every second of lost time between sheet cutting is critical and where a simple UI is important.

Various ProMotion Machine Interfaces are available, handling various standard machine solutions––from single tool machines to complicated 8-torch combination machines with automatic torch spacing. Together with our OEM partners, ProMotion Controls designs complete Turn-Key solutions, maximizing shape-cutting machine efficiency. The results – count on huge customer cost savings.

Accessories
ProMotion® iDrives are ideal drive solutions for both OEMs and for retrofitting exisiting shape-cutting machines. Select from a variety of built-in DC- and AC-Drive system solutions.
ProMotion® iLifters are turn-key torch lifter solutions for demanding customer applications.
Special ProMotion® iMarking systems are available, providing extremely efficient marking and cutting solutions.

ProMotion® Nest – Nesting and Job Preparation Software
ProMotion Nest Off-Line Office software is the most effective and simple-to-use solution in the industry. Originally designed to be used in the iCNC Controller at the cutting machine by the torch operator, ProMotion Nest software is extremely intuitive. For the office, we maintained the same level of intuity but increased the level of capability and features. Many of our products in the ProMotion Controls product family offer an unsurpassed level of productivity because of the productivity tools in this software.

iCNC

New LogiTRACE Unfolding Software makes cutting sheet
metal for piping and ductwork easy and error-free. The
software provides immediate and automatic 3D views of how
entered data translates into unfolded parts and final products.
Operators are able to input a wide range of order processing
information, make changes on-the-fly and easily save
processed data into DXF files.

The new ProMotion iQ Controller incorporates the advanced intelligence you need in a low profile controller box, while providing users the option of designing their own system using their own monitor. iQ Controller configurations are available for thermal cutting with plasma and configurations for use with shape-cutting machines having both oxy-fuel and plasma
flame-cutting capabilities.

The new Open Frame iCNC is specially designed for the OEM and incorporates the advanced intelligence you have come to expect from ProMotion Controls. Providing optimum flexibility, OEM machine designers will find it especially easy to design machine solutions that complement their product line. Open Frame iCNC Control configurations are available for shape-cutting machinery using plasma, both oxy-fuel and plasma, laser, waterjet, and for routers.

Built-In iDrives
Even though you can use any external drive system with your iCNC Control, ProMotion Controls offers both low-cost DC Drives and high-performance digital AC Drives for use inside the iCNC.

Having the drives built-in to the same enclosure with the CNC greatly simplifies the installation, eliminates the need for several boxes and cabling between them, and reduces your total system costs.

New ProMotion AC iDrives, developed in co-operation with Kollmorgen Servotronix and Koike Aronson, are available in two or three-axis configurations, accommodating small shape-cutting machines (ie, 5-ft. by 10-ft cutting tables) to the biggest frames in the industry. Depending on the target market and the application, they can work with either 115 VAC or 230 VAC, providing up to 2 kW power output:

• Smooth and precise motion control. Reliable and Affordable.

• The first AC Drives in the industry designed to accommodate a wide range of small to large motors, for the smallest to the largest shape-cutting machines!

Fully-Integrated Plasma Torch Height Control System
By automatically maintaining a consistent and set distance between the torch tip and plate, the ProMotion® iHC™ Plasma Torch Height Control System improves quality and productivity while reducing costs.

The first fully-integrated system for plasma, including torch height control software and lifter motor amplifiers inside the ProMotion® iCNC®, the iHC System provides built-in cost savings. It is designed to accommodate up to 2 plasma lifters exceptionally fast and with accuracy:

• Automatically measures arc voltage in 0.02V increments.

• With arc cutting stability much better than 1V, cut quality is precise and accurate.

• Once set, an automatic system empowers the operator to perform other duties, saving time while increasing productivity.

Applications
